With a background in ballet and Pilates, Anne completed her 200 hrs. Training in Raja Yoga with Dharma Richards’s in 2011 at the Yoga Garden of Apex. She currently teaches Gentle and Restorative Yoga mostly at the Yoga Garden. She deepened her knowledge of Yoga by learning about Post-Traumatic Stress through the Yoga Warriors Certification and a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Workshop. Those led her to study mindfulness and Restorative Yoga. She also studied some Yoga Therapy and Yoga for seniors. She is a Reiki practitioner.
Through gentle and mindful movement, breath work and restorative practice, she intends to help students develop deeper body/mind awareness and reduce their stress levels. Anne focuses on nurturing individual students’ needs and providing a safe environment that allows deeper relaxation. Through visualizations and breath work, she helps students to be into stillness. Her main goal is to encourage students to honor their bodies and souls.
Anne strongly believes in achieving better health through a mindful practice. She feels a strong desire to share her passion for the discipline of yoga.
