This is a program for certified yoga teachers to dive deeper into their teaching with a gentle and therapeutic focus. Each weekend will include a gentle yoga practice, embodied anatomy, assessment skills, touch skills, cuing skills, and more. This training will take a look at the musculoskeletal system, the organ system and the developmental movement patterns from Julee’s other training in Body-Mind Centering.
We will consider the relationship of imagery and cuing when offering instruction, inspired by the work of Eric Franklin. You will be asked to deepen your personal practices of pranayama, restorative, pratyahara and meditation taking additional classes. The program includes three mentor sessions to support your personal growth. And the program will conclude with an individual project working with your choice of special population as well as the development of your personal teaching philosophy.

Total CEs: 200 hours
Students are expected to have a regular asana practice and will begin a daily pranayama practice. This program is an intensive mentorship. You will want to reserve a good bit of time for reading, writing and self-practice.

Julee Snyder, E-RYT 500, is a lifelong learner with a veracious appetite for growing and learning. She has been practicing yoga since 1994 and completed the EMBODIYoga® teacher training with Lisa Clark in 2004. She is also a massage and bodywork therapist integrating advanced myofascial techniques with craniosacral, visceral and neural manipulation. She is a Body-Mind Centering (BMC) practitioner and has devoted most of her career integrating BMC approaches into yoga. She has worked as a massage and movement therapist in several studio and clinical environments including Duke Integrative Medicine. She has taught anatomy in several local teacher trainings at the 200 and 300 hour levels for more than ten years. She currently serves as EVOLVE Movement’s Director of Yoga, Somatics and Therapeutic Programming.
